Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - the seventh and final novel of the Harry Potter series written by J. K. Rowling.  The Harry Potter series began in 1997 with Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and ending in July 2007 with the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.


Deathly Hallows broke records as the fastest selling book ever, selling 15 million copies within the first 24 hours of its release. The previous record also held by J. K. Rowling for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince sold 9 million in the first 24 hours.


The film to Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was made in two parts. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows - Part 1 was released in November 2010 and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 was released in July 2011.
